Our Magnet Program

Magnet Program

Our Gifted & Talented program matches interest with opportunity as we guide students in the discovery of their passions and gifts.  Our schedule incorporates two electives per day at grades one through five, and one elective per day at kindergarten, providing our students with a wide array of focused educational experiences in academic and performing/visual arts disciplines.  Through our AIG Basics program, students identified as academically gifted are grouped for core instruction in English language arts and math at grades four and five, and offered curriculum acceleration and enrichment at grades K-3.

Elective options include all visual and performing arts disciplines, specialized science and technology courses, focused math disciplines, video and print journalism, multiple literary genre studies, academic competitions, and foreign language study.  Check out our Magnet Program page for more information.
